Secondary education in Gen. E. Aguinaldo, as it is in any other remote municipality, had been an urgent need since the American regime. There were only two high schools in the province during those times, one in Cavite City and another in Indang. The distance from Gen. E. Aguinaldo to these places, plus the strong family ties among the people, contributed much to the high rate of non-attendance of its people in the secondary school. The establishment of a secondary non-participation school was in great need.

After the liberation of the country from the Japanese rule, private schools sprang like mushrooms throughout the country. In 1948, Atty. Mariano Villanueva and other stockholders from Naic established a secondary private school. It seemed that the problem of secondary education was partly solved. However, the majority of students cannot afford the high cost of tuition fees in private school.

With the passage of the Republic Act No. 6054, known as the Barrio High School Charter, petitions were submitted to the offices of District Supervisor and the offices of the Municipal Mayor for the establishment of a public high school in Gen. Aguinaldo. The Municipal Government of Gen. Aguinaldo under Mayor Porfirio de Taza, the PTA led by Mr. Cresencia del Mundo, with the help of District Supervisor, Mr. Francisco Castillo, the Barangay officials of Castaños and under Barangay Captain Quintin Reyes and Councilmen. Secretary Pedro Panganiban, requested the proper authorities for the opening of a public high school. The Secretary of Education approved the Gen. Aguinaldo barrio has to operate on May 31, 1973. The school was started and formally headed by Mrs. Rosario Sanchez from 1973-1999, then Mrs. Amelita R. Alcazar (1999-2003), Mrs. Perla B. Tamayo (2003-2007), Mrs. Mercy J. De Borja (2007-2011), Mrs. Aurelia Dejan (2011-2014), Mr. Baltazar de Padua (2014-2015), Mrs. Felinda E. Cruz (2015-2018) and Mrs. Gregoria Pena (Oct 2018- present)
